I decided would incorporate camellias into the design, but I still needed a main attention grabber. I love botanical drawings, and one flower that has always represented the city of Sacramento is the camellia. Michael suggested tying in some element of Sacramento, so I began brainstorming iconic imagery for the city. The freedom of having a world of options at your fingertips can sometimes feel daunting.
